Ovarian cancer is commonly diagnosed late, with about 75% of patients diagnosed at an advanced stage. The study population consists of ovarian cancer patients who received neoadjuvant chemotherapy before surgery. Eligible participants need a preoperative biopsy diagnosis of ovarian cancer and planned open abdominal cytoreductive surgery for malignant ovarian tumours. The trial recruits patients undergoing open ovarian cancer cytoreductive surgery under general anaesthesia.
