Parents of children with cerebral palsy carry a disproportionate caregiving burden related to toileting. Parents' toileting responsibilities are complicated by changing routines, variable environments, child needs, and their own physical and emotional demands. The caregiving role around toileting can negatively affect parental well-being and family dynamics. Understanding parents' strategies, obstacles, unmet needs, and lived experiences is presented as necessary for developing family-centred toileting interventions.
