Understanding biomedical data-sharing KAP matters because stakeholders differ in motivations, concerns and responsibilities. Participants may choose how to describe their involvement work because terminology is inconsistent. The waitlist group continues treatment as usual for 32 weeks and is then offered the same 16-session therapy if desired. Promotoras were recruited separately as bilingual lay healthcare workers and were not required to meet patient inclusion criteria. The study aims for approximate balance by sex and BMI category but does not randomise or strictly stratify participants by those characteristics.
