DAOH90 showed expected associations with age, comorbidity, and frailty. Comorbidity was measured using the van Walraven modification of the Elixhauser Comorbidity Score. Frailty was measured using the Secondary Care Administrative Records Frailty index. The study examined DAOH across age, sex, frailty, comorbidity burden, and area deprivation. DAOH generally decreased as patient age increased above 70 years. DAOH declined with increasing comorbidity and frailty, with an exception for negative Elixhauser values.
