Patient Staging

TEMPO had lower low-dimensional staging MAE than all baselines overall. SA-EBM slightly outperformed TEMPO for staging in two uniform-prior ordinal experiments. TEMPO's staging branch estimates abnormality probabilities conditioned on biomarker measurements, diagnosis labels, and event scores. The patient Transformer uses cross-patient self-attention over abnormality-derived patient representations.
