Adolescents with poorly controlled asthma face risks of anxiety, depression, social isolation, and heightened vulnerability to bullying victimisation. Poor asthma control in children causes increased emergency department visits, hospitalisations, reduced quality of life, sleep disturbances, diminished academic performance, and elevated school absenteeism.
