Petit volunteering consists of small-scale informal volunteer roles that older adults can perform as part of daily life. The intervention requires weekly nursing-facility visits for 3-hour volunteer sessions across at least 12 occasions in 3 months. Petit volunteer tasks are designed to be low intensity, flexible, and feasible without long-term commitments or specialised training. The trial uses nursing-care volunteer activities adapted to participants' physical capability, life context, and interests.
