Pharmaceutical Supply Chains

Pharmaceutical treatments depend on complex infrastructure for delivery and distribution. During the pandemic, supply chain disruptions affected truck drivers, infrastructure capacity, and pharmacist availability simultaneously. Pharmacological interventions failed to reach patients not because of the treatments themselves but because of delivery infrastructure failures. Future pandemics or crises are likely to reproduce the same supply chain bottlenecks seen during the pandemic.
