Among patients who received at least one element of GP advice, 72.5% reported becoming more active or more regularly active afterwards. Receiving all three 3As elements was associated with a substantially higher rate of reported activity increase compared with receiving only partial advice. The association between advice receipt and increased activity is observational and self-reported, so it does not prove causality. The pattern of higher activity change with complete 3As advice supports the importance of delivering all three elements rather than stopping at assessment or general advice.
