PMOS is presented as a more accurate name because it better reflects the condition's biology and clinical burden. PCOS has been renamed polyendocrine metabolic ovarian syndrome, or PMOS. PMOS includes genetic, endocrine, metabolic, reproductive, psychological, and dermatological dimensions.
