In the cohort, 14.2% of patients experienced at least one adverse event within 6 months after discharge. A total of 228 discrete adverse events were identified across outpatient visits. Abnormal blood counts were the most frequent medication-related adverse event subtype. Medication-related events made up most adverse events in the study. Surgical and procedural adverse events were often linked to drainage tube complications.
