The study achieved an 82.2% completion rate for the 30-day telephone survey among eligible patients. Non-completion included patients who could not be reached, declined participation, or were excluded for death, language barriers, or other reasons. High completion of postdischarge surveys is important because low response rates can introduce systematic bias and limit generalisability. Cognitive impairment, physical weakness, and language barriers were common reasons the survey could not be conducted directly with the patient. Structured telephone outreach can achieve high completion among vulnerable multimorbid inpatients.
