Pregnancy-associated syphilis in pregnant women corresponded to 13.5 cases per 100,000 pregnancies. Eight live-born children received syphilis treatment after birth. Among married couples with childbirths, syphilis was diagnosed in 45 pregnant women and treated in 47 instances. The study may underestimate pregnancy-associated syphilis burden because pregnancies ending in miscarriage or abortion were not captured.
