Pregnancy Overweight

Pregnant women with overweight have elevated risks of several pregnancy complications. Overweight and obesity in pregnancy are major maternal and child health challenges globally. Children of women with overweight are more often born with high birth weight and are less often breastfed. One-third of pregnant women in Denmark live with overweight, and the proportion is increasing.
