Primigravida

Primigravida mothers are described as having no prior births and less favourable uterine tone. Fetuses of primigravida mothers may face longer exposure to mechanical and metabolic stresses during difficult first labour. Public hospitals were advised to prioritize primigravida women for continuous and thorough FHR monitoring. Regional health authorities were advised to target structured preventive interventions at primigravida mothers. Primigravida status was associated with twice the odds of NRFHRPs compared with multigravida status.
