A previous PowerPoint training package improved self-assessed DCM awareness and triage confidence among general practitioners and physiotherapists. Existing continuing professional development resources focus more on management than diagnosis. Cadaver laboratory access was rare across the system. Seminars and workshops were available in one quarter of hospitals and were more common in zonal and national hospitals. In-hospital orthopaedic training opportunities were limited in the surveyed hospitals. Degenerative cervical myelopathy is underrepresented in education curricula and learning resources. Short, regular in-service education sessions were recommended to update staff on current evidence. The article recommends decentralising training through regional hubs, mentorship, wet laboratories, simulation, workshops, and clinical attachments. Poor professional awareness is considered a major contributor to delayed diagnosis of degenerative cervical myelopathy. Training was infrequent and inconsistently available to staff.
