Half of event patients used the external prosthesis in the same way after their skeletal event as before it. Three of 16 event patients (19%) reported increased prosthetic use after their skeletal event. Long-term prosthetic use did not appear to be reduced by fractures or arthroplasty events. Both patients who experienced skeletal events and those who did not reached the same mean Prosthetic Use Score of 69 at latest follow-up. The Q-TFA Prosthetic Use Score ranges from 0 to 100 and combines days per week and hours per day of prosthesis use.
