Financial toxicity and family planning were priorities not fully captured in prior cancer priority-setting work. Psychosocial issues receive only a small minority of cancer research funding despite their importance. 34.97% of participants felt very unconfident and very lonely because acne negatively affected their social life. 44.17% of participants reported significant anxiety or very low self-esteem because acne affected their appearance. Clinical interventions should address coping, self-efficacy, stress and anxiety management, and realistic expectations about the chronic nature of PCOS and acne treatment.
