Public Health Significance

Viral genomic surveillance can identify immune escape and inform next-generation RSV vaccines and monoclonal antibodies. Immune profiling can clarify correlates of protection and mechanisms of breakthrough disease. Findings will be shared through publications, meetings, and public summaries. De-identified non-restricted data and analytical code will be made publicly available to support transparency and reproducibility. Postlicensure effectiveness estimates are important for policy decisions about national RSV immunisation programmes.
