Subgroup analyses will stratify PWV measurements by technique, including planar pressure pulse wave method, cuff oscillometry, and ultrasonography. Meta-regression includes baseline arterial stiffness measured as PWV in m/s as a continuous covariate, with the regression coefficient quantifying treatment effect change per 1-unit increase in baseline PWV. The primary outcome of the systematic review is arterial pulse wave velocity, encompassing both carotid-femoral PWV and brachial-ankle PWV. Pulse wave velocity is the gold-standard non-invasive measure of arterial elasticity.
