Qualitative Study

Interviews will be analyzed using inductive thematic analysis in NVivo version 15. The analysis followed Braun and Clarke's six-step reflexive thematic analysis. Semi-structured interviews will be conducted in person or by video teleconference according to participant preference. The qualitative analysis mapped patient and clinician themes together to identify convergent and divergent perspectives. The study noted potential social desirability bias because the primary researcher was also the intervention designer. The nested qualitative study will explore obstacles, preferences, and experiences in managing severe knee osteoarthritis among people with high BMI.
