The relaxed state cultivated during the session is presented as portable and able to persist into the rest of the day. Increasing parasympathetic tone supports digestion, immune function, and anabolic repair. Reducing fight-or-flight activation can improve digestive secretions, nutrient absorption, assimilation, and repair use. Burdens and worries are treated as temporarily set aside rather than denied or solved, and can be returned to after the practice. The practice begins from a relaxed but upright seated posture, sitting tall without effort or strain.
