Religious Uncertainty

Visible endorsement from religious leaders increased willingness to donate. Muslim participants had comparatively high knowledge but less favourable attitudes and practices than other religious groups. Religion was the strongest interpretive framework for assessing whether organ donation was permissible. Religious concerns included bodily integrity, disfigurement, delayed burial, and judgment-day anxieties. A near-equal split over whether Islamic teaching permits or prohibits donation produced inaction.
