Women with a previous pregnancy but no prior live birth were more likely to complete at least four ANC visits than women with a prior live birth. An interpregnancy interval longer than 36 months was associated with higher odds of attending at least four ANC visits than an interval of 18-36 months. Multiple births were associated with higher likelihood of completing four or more ANC visits, but the association was not statistically significant. Pregnancies ending at 33 weeks or earlier made completion of four scheduled ANC visits less likely because the final visit was usually planned for the ninth month. Mildly preterm and moderately preterm births were associated with lower odds of completing four or more ANC visits than term births. Parity of at least one was negatively associated with ANC completion compared with no prior pregnancy.
