Research Capacity and Ethics

Training programmes and academic partnerships can help integrate HTA into national health systems under resource constraints. Capacity-building activities include training, mentorship, seminars, workshops, mentored projects, and conferences. The framework requires tailored HTA training for policymakers, healthcare professionals, and researchers. HTA research and academic institutional collaborations should be strengthened. The project prioritizes building research capacity in Kenya for autism diagnosis, neurobehavioural methods, and neuro-health research. A community and scientific advisory panel will advise on study design, implementation, interpretation, dissemination, follow-up studies, and partnerships. Capacity building aims to create a sustainable HTA workforce at national and subnational levels.
