Research Collaborators

Collaborator status applies only when healthcare providers are involved in a CRT but none of the participant-status criteria apply. Research collaborators contribute to study design or conduct. Collaborators are not entitled to research participant protections, although they may receive acknowledgement or co-authorship if authorship criteria are met. Delivering patient interventions or collecting patient data for pragmatic reasons may be a collaborator role rather than participant status.
