Research Ethics

The team intends to develop practice-oriented tools for adolescent girls and accessible materials for adolescents and families. The study received HRA and Health and Care Research Wales approval on 12 August 2025. The study received ethical approval from Yorkshire and The Humber - Sheffield Research Ethics Committee on 4 August 2025. The protocol was approved by the Ethics Committee of IDIAP Jordi Gol. Ethical approval will be sought at each milestone from the University of Canberra Human Research Ethics Committee, and Phase One approval has already been granted. The trial was registered on 6 May 2025, and the first patient was recruited on 6 October 2025. Because the research is conducted in multiple Québec hospitals, it is treated as a multicentre study requiring centralised ethics approval and local review. Written informed consent will be obtained before enrollment, with thumbprints allowed for participants unable to write. Participants with clinical concerns will be referred to tertiary healthcare facilities with transport support.
