Ethical approval was granted by the University of Sheffield Ethics Department on 25 November 2025. Anonymised datasets and code will be archived for at least 10 years and deposited on OSF. Reporting will follow the CROSS checklist for survey studies and the CHERRIES checklist for internet e-surveys. The study is prospectively preregistered on the Open Science Framework with a specific DOI. Transplant recipients and donor families reviewed attitude and intention items for sensitivity and acceptability prior to study launch.
