Research Transparency

Research transparency includes prospective registration, comprehensive results reporting, and open-access publication. The study identified low prospective registration, low registry summary result reporting, and slow timeliness as key transparency gaps. Global health research monitoring should develop indicators that are specific to GHR rather than relying only on HIC-focused systems. Paywalled publications can disproportionately harm providers and researchers in low-resource settings.
