Studies that discontinued participants after risk identification were mostly pharmacological trials. Thirteen monitoring studies did not record the management approach used when risk was identified. Four studies discontinued trial participation when risk was identified. Referral or signposting was the most frequently reported risk management approach among monitoring studies. Some referral approaches involved active coordination with CAMHS rather than only providing crisis line details.
