Some gold-standard behavioral symptom scales may be too time-consuming for routine care. RUD is validated and widely used for resource utilization but may be less suitable for routine care because it is lengthy and unintuitive. Implementation feasibility is affected by whether measures can realistically be used in busy home care or residential aged care settings. Future work should assess identified scales for psychometric quality, feasibility, burden, dementia-stage suitability, cultural appropriateness, and usefulness in routine care. Routine care scale selection should consider clarity, completion time, scoring approach, and recommended data collection frequency.
