RVC is described as supporting realistic low-latency speech-to-speech conversion while preserving source-speaker intonation and audio characteristics. A designated family member provides a five-minute clean speech recording to train the voice model for each intervention participant. The hardware setup consists of a laptop with a dedicated graphics card, a wireless lapel microphone, and wireless noise-cancelling headphones. The intervention uses RVC, an open-source voice conversion AI algorithm.
