The project is funded by the Medical Research Future Fund and has ethics approval from Deakin University. The study uses participatory systems science, community engagement, health economics, and mixed methods. The project will co-design and test a Safer Spaces Model of Primary Healthcare for LGBTQ+ people aged 12 to 25 in rural Western Victoria. The project has two integrated aims: co-designing the model and testing its implementation.
