Adjusted analysis linked category 3 disease with higher odds of delta versus omicron infection, while categories 4 and 5 did not show significant variant associations. Variant status was unavailable for about one third of patients. Variant type was significantly associated with severity. Delta was the most common variant identified in the cohort.
