Expert content validation removed twelve items below the required I-CVI threshold, leaving 32 items. The pilot test found high comprehensibility and a six-minute average completion time, but its reported date conflicts with earlier item-development timing. The study generated EPS items from both literature review and parent interviews. In-depth interviews were used to generate additional items from parents' lived experiences. The literature review searched PubMed, the Cochrane Library, Embase, CINAHL, and RISS in early September 2024.
