After the seated hamstring and upper-back expansion drill, standing cervical retesting improved substantially. The improvement after the first drill was meaningful but incomplete. Hamstring control was expected to help position the pelvis and rib cage and create a better base for trunk and neck mobility. A flexed thoracic position was selected to increase available transverse-plane and frontal-plane motion. The first intervention targeted hamstring activity, pelvic control, thoracic flexion, and upper-back expansion.
