Sehat Sahulat Programme

The Sehat Sahulat Programme provides inpatient coverage of up to PKR 1 million per family per year at selected hospitals, aligned with SDG 3.8. The Sehat Sahulat Programme covers only direct medical costs, leaving substantial indirect costs such as travel, accommodation, income loss, and dietary needs entirely outside its scope. Administrative barriers including burdensome paperwork, long wait times, and upfront payment requirements prevented consistent patient access to SSP benefits. Patients strongly preferred direct lump-sum transfers of health card funds to their bank accounts over reimbursement-based disbursement, as it enables advance financial planning.
