Reported benefits of sermorelin include lean body mass gains, lipolysis, improved energy and strength, enhanced sleep quality, wound healing support, and bone mineral density improvement. Sermorelin is a 28 to 29 amino acid peptide and an analog of growth hormone releasing hormone. IGF-1 was historically used as a surrogate marker for sermorelin effectiveness, but this approach is now used less often with newer peptide combinations. Sermorelin signals the pituitary gland to increase secretion of the body's own growth hormone rather than supplying growth hormone directly. Sermorelin is administered by subcutaneous injection into abdominal fat.
