Women with type 2 diabetes and hypertension were significantly less likely than men to receive RAS inhibitors after adjustment. After adjustment, females remained significantly less likely than males to receive multiarterial grafting. Multiarterial grafting was less common among females than males in unadjusted results. Women were significantly less likely than men to receive guideline-recommended statins. The prescribing gap was largest in single-drug and two-drug antihypertensive regimens. Among participants without coronary heart disease, women received RAS inhibitors less often than men. Female sex remained independently associated with lower odds of guideline-recommended statin intensity after adjustment. Women were less likely than men to meet the latest LDL target. Women and men had similar ASCVD prevalence in the cohort. Among participants with coronary heart disease, the sex difference in RAS inhibitor receipt was not statistically significant.
