Each side-hop repetition should end in a stable controlled single-leg landing on the box. Side-hop landings use the same mechanics as the straight jump: whole-foot contact, slight knee bend, and a soft controlled landing. The side-hop variation should first be performed with the inside leg jumping onto the box. Side hops onto the box are performed after the straight jump variation. The side-hop variation is also performed with the outside leg.
