Soft Water

Soft water is more pleasant for washing but is a poor choice for drinking. Soft water is processed to remove calcium and magnesium and replace them with sodium. Soft water is a poor choice for drinking because its beneficial minerals are replaced with sodium that does not serve the same electrolyte functions.
