Treatable benefit includes new distance correction with more than a two-line acuity improvement or need for ophthalmological follow-up or treatment. The primary endpoint assesses reliability between ECG-based heart rate and Caducy rPPG heart rate after 30 seconds. Secondary endpoints include heart rate reliability over 60 seconds and respiratory rate reliability over both 30 and 60 seconds. Subgroup analyses evaluate heart rate and respiratory rate reliability over 30 seconds by age group and Fitzpatrick skin phototype. Clinical outcomes compare GP suspicion and patient self-report against ophthalmologist evaluation. Life-sustaining organ support includes invasive mechanical ventilation, vasopressors, renal replacement therapy, and extracorporeal membrane oxygenation. Feasibility outcomes include recruitment rate, GP test completion, optometrist adherence, and acceptability. Vision reduction detected in GP is defined through reduced near acuity, contrast loss, central field defects, peripheral field abnormalities, or at least one of these findings. The primary objective is improvement in in-hospital survival without initiation of life-sustaining organ support. Secondary objectives…
