Sub-acromial Space

The sub-acromial space is the gap between the humerus and acromion through which the rotator cuff passes. Hanging restores normal alignment between the humerus and the shoulder socket. Fully relaxing the shoulders during hanging is what creates the traction effect on the sub-acromial space.
