Sulfites

Sulfite additives can be identified on ingredient labels by names ending in the suffix "sulfite", such as sodium sulfite or potassium sulfite. Sulfites are chemical compounds added to processed foods to preserve appearance and taste. Eliminating sulfite-containing foods is one approach to managing suspected sulfite sensitivity.
