TB knowledge was not significantly associated with community TB stigma after accounting for community location. TB knowledge was measured with an 18-item index covering transmission, symptoms, cause, and treatment. The findings challenge interventions that assume individual TB knowledge or exposure primarily shapes community TB stigma.
