Global cessation approaches include pharmacological and non-pharmacological treatments, but they were not evaluated in this study. Cambodia enacted a tobacco-control law in 2015 and has 135 cessation and counselling services. The study identifies older adults, men, rural populations, and alcohol users as groups warranting targeted tobacco-control attention. Integrated alcohol and tobacco screening or counselling may be beneficial, but the study did not test it. Rural tobacco use and lower service access suggest community-based outreach may be worth investigating.
