Correct top-knee movement should create sensation in the top-side buttock. The top knee should lift and move slightly forward during the test. The top-side arch should remain on the ground while the top knee is lifted. Failure to move or lift the top knee correctly, or feeling the inner thigh instead of the buttock, indicates a limitation at this phase. If the top knee cannot slide forward or slides backward during lifting, treatment should target bottom-side hip support with closed-chain inner thigh and outside hip work.
