Chinese herbal medicine evaluates the whole body rather than matching isolated symptoms to single remedies. Chinese herbal medicine uses patterns from nature to describe processes inside the body. Data extraction for TCM studies will capture theoretical framework, acupoints or herbal formulations, and treatment protocols. Traditional Chinese medicine lactation research includes acupuncture, acupressure, and herbal approaches informed by concepts such as meridian theory and chronotherapy. The search strategy will include TCM terms such as acupoint, auricular acupoint, acupuncture, and Chinese herbal medicine.
