Peer roles can provide transferable skills, resume development, networking, and a route into future education or vocation. Organisations that define peer competencies, provide training and certification plans, and create employment pathways help peers develop professional skills that improve employability. Training, competency development, certification pathways, and career ladders should be integrated into peer employment. Career pathway supports are particularly important for young adults with limited post-secondary education or job experience.
