A stacked position is presented as supporting inhalation, exhalation, pressure management, and shoulder movement. The stack organizes the thorax over the pelvis so the pelvic and thoracic diaphragms can work together. A tuck is a posterior pelvic tilt or hip-positioning strategy used to align the pelvis and rib cage. If pelvis and rib cage organization is poor, the body may compensate through lumbar arching, poor rib cage motion, accessory neck use, and reduced shoulder comfort. In the breathing-pain case, inability to tuck is treated as foundational to the rest of the mechanics.
